Back to School Drive - Aug 2026 |

Please donate to the Brookline Rotary's annual Back to School Drive Event 2026 to support low-income families. Just like previous years, we will be collecting and filling backpacks for 60 children in the area. Individuals are encouraged to sign up on the volunteer signup list to purchase designated items for the backpacks. If you are unable to shop for the supplies but would like to donate to the cause, please use Venmo @BrooklineMA-Rotary, PayPal @brooklinerotary, or donate via the website so that our volunteer shoppers can shop on your behalf. Please indicate Backpacks 2026 in your donation. The deadline to sign up for donations and/or supplies is Aug 10th.
If you choose to purchase the supplies, please be sure to contact Faiza Khan at 617-347-8655 for pickup arrangements. We will need all supplies the day before to ensure our packing party starts and ends on time and there is no hold up due to the supplies delivery. Therefore, we suggest that the supplies are with us a day before. The packing party will be at 1501 Beacon Street on Thursday Aug 20th at 6:00 pm. We will serve Pizza as we pack and send these backpacks to their final destination. Our beneficiaries are Steps To Success and Eastern Service Workers.

Function Room | Brookline Rotary is excited to support our community through our annual Back-to-School Backpack Drive! This is the night we assemble the backpacks! Please come help us and hear about the impact of this project in supporting at least 50 children in doing well in school this year. A light supper will be served to those who register -- be sure to register so we know how much food will be needed! Brookline Rotary will be participating in Brookline Day on Sunday, September 27, from 11:00 AM–3:00 PM in Coolidge Corner on Harvard Street. Brookline Day brings together local businesses, nonprofits, town departments, and community organizations for a day celebrating the Brookline community. Brookline Rotary will have a non-profit vendor booth and will be assisting Boston University Rotaract. We will also use the event as an opportunity to share information about Brookline Rotary and engage with the community. The Rotary team is also exploring a hot dog fundraiser, with proceeds benefiting Brookline Rotary. |
