Please donate to the Brookline Rotary's annual Back to School Drive Event 2026 to support low-income families. Just like previous years, we will be collecting and filling backpacks for 60 children in the area. Individuals are encouraged to sign up on the volunteer signup list to purchase designated items for the backpacks. If you are unable to shop for the supplies but would like to donate to the cause, please use Venmo @BrooklineMA-Rotary, PayPal @brooklinerotary, or donate via the website so that our volunteer shoppers can shop on your behalf. Please indicate Backpacks 2026 in your donation. The deadline to sign up for donations and/or supplies is Aug 10th.
If you choose to purchase the supplies, please be sure to contact Faiza Khan at 617-347-8655 for pickup arrangements. We will need all supplies the day before to ensure our packing party starts and ends on time and there is no hold up due to the supplies delivery. Therefore, we suggest that the supplies are with us a day before. The packing party will be at 1501 Beacon Street on Thursday Aug 20th at 6:00 pm. We will serve Pizza as we pack and send these backpacks to their final destination. Our beneficiaries are Steps To Success and Eastern Service Workers.
